1. 신학교 인준 - 개교 후 본교 졸업생들은 목사안수를 미국장로교 (PCA) 노회와 남침례교 (SBC) 지방회에서 받아왔습니다. 이제 학생들에게 더 많은 옵숀을 주기위하여 지난 주에 총장과 기획실장이 남가주에서 개최하는 세계예수교장로회 (World Korean Presbyterian Church)총회에 참석하여 신학교 인준을 받아냈습니다. WKPC교단은 대한예수교장로회 (합동)이 유일하게 인정하는 미주한인교단으로국제개혁대학신대원 (ABHE 인가)과 버지니아 기독교 종합대학 (ABHE 인가)을 인준하고 있습니다. 또한 본신학교 총장이 앞서말한 두 신학교/대학 이사장과 총장들을 만나 앞으로의 협력을 위하여 의논하였습니다. 그리고 본교 졸업생들이 이번 총회에서 실시하는 강도사 고시에 수석으로 합격하여 본 신학교 교육의 우수성을 모든 총대들에게 증명하였습니다. 이제 앞으로 목회에 사명이 있는 더 많은 학생들이 본 신학교에 지원 할 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 신문기사를 참고하시기 바랍니다 (관련기사는 이곳을 클릭).

Southern Reformed College & Seminary has been recognized by World Korean Presbyterian Church as a qualified seminary for ordination in the denomination at the General Assembly (May 15-17, 2018).

2. 박사학위과정 정지 - 인가 요구사항 중 하나로 인가기관에서 추천한 박사학위과정 정지 안건을 3월 교수회에서 결정하였습니다. 과거에 수여한 모든 박사학위는 본 신학교에서 계속 인정하며 앞으로 충분한 도서자료와 박사학위과정을 수준높은 학문으로 지도를 할 수 있는 교수진이 더 확보 된 후 다시 인가기관에 박사과정를 신청하게 될 것입니다. 이로서 본 신학교는 AA (준학사) 와 BA (학사) 그리고 MA (석사)와 MDiv (목회학석사)과정을 Certificate (수료증)과 함께 제공하게 됩니다.

All doctoral programs have been suspended by the March 2018 faculty council as recommended by ABHE until adequate library resources and qualified faculty have been appropriated.

3. 장학제도 개정 - 총장자문위원회는 (회원: 기획실장, 한인처장, 도시연구처장, 히스페닉처장, 학감) 장학제도 개혁을 단행하여 지난 3월 회의에서 다음과 같은 사항들을 채택하였습니다.

• 풀 장학제도는 폐지한다.

• 장학금 혜택은 장학위원회에서 제출한 신청서를 자세히 검토 후 다음정책을 참고하여 결정되어 진다:

• 풀타임학생 (12학점이상)은 50%까지 장학금 혜택가능.

• 하프타임학생 (6-11학점)은 25%까지 장학금 혜택가능.

• 파트타임학생 (1-5학점)은 장학금 혜택이 없음.

• 다음과 같은 요구한 정보와 서류를 제출하지 않을경우 장학위원회는 장학신청서을 사양할 수 있음.

• 월가정 수입.

• 최근 세금보고서 (요구시).

• 최근 은행잔고 증명서 (요구시).

학비는 할부지불이 가능하며 학교에서 공급하는 학비융자프로그램에 지원할 수 있음.

겨울/여름/독학/개인레슨 장학금은 공급되지 않음.

The President's Council (Members: Academic Dean, Dean of Institutional Effectiveness, Deans of Korean, Urban, and Hispanic Students) has adopted the following revisions to the scholarship policy in its March 2018 meeting:

• The final scholarship amount will be determined by the scholarship committee upon thorough review. Below is the scholarship guideline the committee follows:

• Full-time (12 credits+) students can receive up to 50%.

• Half-time (6-11 credits) students can receive up to 25%.

• There is no scholarship for part-time (1-5 credits) students.

• If not all the requested information is provided (see below), the scholarship committee can decide to not award scholarship.

• Monthly income information.

• The most recent tax-returns.

• The most recent bank statements.

Students who need further financial assistant will be given the option of installment payments and/or student loan program from the seminary which can be paid before or shortly after graduation.

There is no summer/winter/independent studies/private lesson scholarships.

4. 온라인 입학지원서/수강신청서 - 본 신학교 웹사이트가 새로 단장하였습니다. 한어 웹주소는 (www.srsem.org) 그리고 영어 웹주소는 (www.srsem.net)입니다. 특별히 입학지원서와 수강신청서를 학교웹사이트를 통하여 온라인으로 제출할 수 있게 되어 사용자와 학생들이 더욱 더 편리하게 되었습니다. 과거와 같이 기부금, 수수료, 학비 도 학교 웹사이트를 통하여 지불할 수 있습니다.

The school website now allows for admission application forms and course registration forms to be submitted online as well as payments online as before.
